SEOUL (ALBOENEWS) — Yonhap News reported on Saturday that the North Korean news agency KCNA has claimed the development of a hydrogen bomb for use on an ICBM.
According to KCNA, “Kim Jong-un inspected the loading of an H-bomb into the ICBM during his visit to the Nuclear Weapons Institute. The institute recently succeeded in making a more developed nuke, true to the strategic intention of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) for bringing about a signal turn in nuclear weaponization.”
If true, this would be a major step for the North Koreans, as they will have the capability to deliver a thermonuclear device.
