TEXAS (ALBOENEWS) — Toxic waste sites in the Houston area are flooded and yet to be inspected by EPA workers, according to AP. The Superfund sites are some of the most contaminated places in the United States and there are more than a dozen of them in Houston. Many of those are flooded.
The EPA has looked at two Superfund sites in Corpus Christi but hasn’t offered information as to when the Houston sites will be inspected. EPA spokesperson Amy Graham says, “We will begin to assess other sites after flood waters recede in those areas.”[wordads]
