#BREAKING: Senate Votes Down “Skinny Repeal”

WASHINGTON, D.C. (ALBOENEWS)— Late Thursday evening and into early Friday morning, the Senate was unable to pass the GOP’s proposed “skinny repeal” amendment of Obamacare.

The bill would repeal Obamacare’s individual mandate permanently, and its employer mandate for 8 years. The CBO released an estimate that this repeal would result in 16 million people losing insurance by 2026. They also estimated that premiums in the individual market would increase about 20% in all years between 2018 and 2016. The bill also would have defunded Planned Parenthood for a year.
