Former football player O.J. Simpson was granted parole at his hearing in front of a state parole board in Nevada on Thursday. Simpson had been serving a 33- year sentence stemming from a 2008 armed robbery that involved two sports memorabilia dealers in a Las Vegas hotel room. The board voted unanimously(4-4) in favor of parole for Mr. Simpson.
Simpson will be eligible for release starting October 1st. He served 9 years of his 33-year sentence.
