Four inmates at the Santa Clara County Mail Jail in San Jose, California were taken to local hospitals Wednesday for possible drug overdoses, according to Sgt. Rich Glennon of the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office. Glennon also said that all four inmates are still alive. Further details are not known at this time.
UPDATE: The jail is currently on lockdown as the officers attempt to locate where the drugs could have come from. A source familiar with the situation has stated that two of the inmates are being discharged from the hospital and returned to jail, whereas the other two are conscious but still hospitalized.
